The central argument is that when there are good national as well as war plans, brilliant leaders, well-trained fighters and technologically advanced forces, this simply reduces the odds of disaster but cannot control final outcome, duration and losses to adversaries. But when there is initiation of war with poor planning, lack of perfect support from local populace, minimal political and economic stability with weak arid il-equipped and less trained military along with ignored and ruled least benefited other important elements of national power, then war can always backfire more often and explode in face of both sides and more often the weaker side. Moreover, for nations which do not amicably focus on entirety of national power balance encompassing balance in and balance of power, then peace time prosperity and war time success can be just a dream
